Tips For Moving Across The Country

Buying a home across the country can be nerve racking. You want to buy a home that is perfect for your family, but it is hard to get away from work and your other responsibilities to fly or drive across country. This takes time and money that many people simply just do not have. There are a few things that can make the home buying process much smoother. This article is going to go over three different things that can make buying a home across the country go a little more smoothly.

Loan Officer

One of the very first things that you should do is talk to a local loan officer, and get pre-qualified for a home. When you talk with the loan officer make sure that you have all of your W2's from the past two years, your tax returns from the past two years, and your last three pay stubs. This is going to be some of the information that the loan officer is going to need to get you pre-qualified to buy a home. The loan officer is then going to look at your credit, along with all other aspects of your financial health, and tell you how big a loan you can take out for your home.

Find A Great Real Estate Agent

One of the most important things that you can do is find a great real estate agent. There are a few reasons that this is going to be so important. First, a good real estate agent is going to get you the listings of homes that meet your criteria, such as single family homes or a large back yard. Second, they are going to be able to take you on a virtual tour. The real estate agent t can video chat with you and walk you through the home. This is going to allow you to see the home in real life, without actually being at the home.

Get The Home Inspected

It is optimal if you are able to go down and look at the home yourself, but if you are not, make sure that you have an inspector go through the home. They are going to look at every aspect of the home, and make sure that it is up to code on everything. If something is not up to code then you will know it. This can also be a bargaining tool when talking to the seller. You will also be able to rest easy knowing that the home is in good shape.
